Overview
 

Glasgow Caledonian University began in 1875 as a small college with 110 students. Located in the heart of the lively city centre of Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian University is one of Scotland's most modern universities. Currently there are around 15,000 students studying in the university. Overseas students come from around 70 countries. The university has become one of the largest universities in Scotland with over 15,000 students. Our campus is self-contained and situated right in the heart of the lively city of Glasgow, one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations.

 
Academic Strengths
 

Caledonian Business School has a fine reputation for developing innovative new programmes in areas such as Risk Management and Fashion and has recently introduced a new range of specialised MBA programmes as well as an MSc Business Management Suite. Our research in the field of Allied Health Professions places us overall in the top ten universities in the UK and in the field of the Built and Natural Environment in the top 20 in the UK and we are leaders in Scotland in the field of sustainable urban environments and waste management. They are a CISCO Networking Academy and have recently introduced a new Voice Over IP Pg programme as well as winning the Times Higher Education Award last year for Outstanding Support for Overseas Students. Strong links with industry enable Glasgow Caledonian University to design programmes with a strong career focus providing graduates with skills that are relevant today and for the future. The University was placed second in Scotland and 11th out of 97 universities in Britain by leading UK companies when asked which graduates they found most employable.
